Best Forex Prop Firms for US Traders 2026
Forex/CFD prop firms that confirm they accept US residents, ranked by our overall score. Firms that have stopped taking US traders are listed further down so you do not find out at KYC.

FundedNext
β 5Best profit split in the industry at 90% from day one. Stellar evaluation model with low minimum days, fast payouts, and a large community of funded traders.
FTMO
β 5The most trusted prop firm globally. 11 years of documented payout history, 6 evaluation sizes, and support for 40+ instruments across forex, commodities, indices, and crypto.
E8 Markets
β 4.8Best for swing traders β no minimum trading days, no consistency rule, and full news trading and weekend holding. Trailing drawdown requires attention.
The5ers
β 4.7Fifty percent feels low next to FundedNext's 90 β until you realize The5ers actually gets you to 100% over time, not just on a slide deck.
DNA Funded
β 4.3DNA Funded backs its prices with a regulated broker behind it β rare in this space, and worth something on its own.
Blue Guardian
β 4.3Miss your own payout guarantee, and your trader's split jumps to 100%. That's a strange incentive to build into your own pricing β and it's clever.
Alpha Capital Group
β 4.2Alpha Capital Group doesn't lead the pack on any single number, but a consistent 4.4-star rating across multiple sites says something too.
Maven Trading
β 4.1Maven Trading gets you into a funded account for under $15. What that entry price doesn't advertise is a hard $10,000 monthly payout cap and a trust score that lags well behind its marketing.
Aqua Funded
β 4.1Aqua Funded sits in the same $4 million scaling tier as Blue Guardian and The5ers, just without a standout feature of its own yet.
BrightFunded
β 4.0BrightFunded pairs a fixed (not trailing) drawdown with a token-loyalty program that pays you for trading volume regardless of outcome β genuinely unusual, though a Trustpilot guideline-breach flag from 2026 is worth knowing about.
Goat Funded Trader
β 3.9A dollar gets you in the door at Goat Funded Trader. Just know that the payout track record behind it is a fraction of what the bigger names can show.
Hola Prime
β 3.8Hola Prime competes mainly on price. The single-platform limit and the strict rules are the tradeoff for that.
Why US traders have a shorter list
Offering leveraged forex/CFD products to US retail clients sits in a regulatory grey area, so a lot of CFD-based prop firms geo-block US sign-ups β some quietly, some only at KYC after you have paid. The firms above confirm they accept US residents. The conditions section lists the catches we know about, because “accepts US traders” frequently means “on a different platform, in most states, with a tax form”.
FTMO is back for US traders β with conditions
FTMO stopped onboarding US residents in 2024, then returned in August 2025 through FTMO US, run with OANDA at ftmo.oanda.com. It is a simulated program with performance rewards rather than a brokerage relationship, five states are excluded, and you will file a W-9 before your first payout. Our FTMO review covers the rules; if you are in the US, sign up through the US site, not the global one.
Futures firms are the easy route
If you are open to trading CME futures rather than forex, every major futures prop firm (Apex, Topstep, My Funded Futures, TradeDay, Bulenox, Take Profit Trader) is US-based and takes US traders without any of this friction. See the best futures prop firms ranking and the futures vs forex guide if you have not decided.
What to check as a US resident
Which platform you will actually get (MT5 is often withheld from US residents), whether your state is excluded, payment methods (some firms cannot take US cards), payout rails (ACH, wire or crypto), and whether a W-9 is required. Ask support in writing before you buy β and if the checkout country dropdown does not list the United States, that is your answer.
Useful Tools
Firms that do not accept US traders
Worth knowing before you buy an evaluation β these firms will decline US residents at KYC, sometimes after payment.
- Funding Pips β Explicitly does not accept US-based customers as of 2026 (it briefly resumed in 2024, then withdrew).
US-specific conditions
"Accepts US traders" often comes with a platform restriction, excluded states or a tax form. What we have on record:
- FTMO β Via FTMO US (ftmo.oanda.com) since Aug 2025. Not available in Arkansas, Delaware, Louisiana, Montana or South Carolina. IRS Form W-9 required before first payout.
- DNA Funded β TradeLocker platform; 10-minute news restriction applies.
- Alpha Capital Group β MT5 not available to US residents and cTrader closed to new US customers β US traders use DXtrade or TradeLocker. ACH payouts available.
- Goat Funded Trader β United States is not on its restricted-country list (checked Jul 2026).

Quick answers
How is this list ranked?
By our overall score β evaluation fairness, payout reliability, platform quality, spreads, support, rule flexibility, value and transparency. Every firm was tested with a real challenge purchase and a real payout request. Affiliate relationships never change the order.
How often is it updated?
Firm data is re-verified when rules or fees change and at least quarterly. The date on each review shows when we last tested that firm.
What should I check before buying a challenge?
The drawdown model, the daily loss cap, weekend and news rules, and whether the fee is refunded on first payout. The individual review and the 'How to pass' guide for each firm cover all of it.
