FundedNext
β 5.0Best profit split in the industry at 90% from day one. Stellar evaluation model with low minimum days, fast payouts, and a large community of funded traders.
Apex Trader Funding
β 4.6Twenty simultaneous funded accounts. No one else on this list gets remotely close to that number.
Topstep
β 4.5Topstep has been doing this since 2012. In futures prop, that makes it the elder statesman by a wide margin.
My Funded Futures
β 4.516,000-plus reviews at 4.9 stars. That's not a number a firm fakes its way into.
Take Profit Trader
β 4.3No single flashy feature here. Just daily payouts, sensible rules, and years without a major red flag.
Tradeify
β 4.2Tradeify built its entire pitch around one specific complaint: the consistency rule that gets profitable traders denied elsewhere.
Bulenox
β 4.1Bulenox lets you run EAs on a funded account. That alone separates it from almost every other futures firm on this list.
Lucid Trading
β 4.1Lucid Trading's whole pitch is straightforward rules. In a category full of complicated fine print, that's a real selling point.
TradeDay
β 4.0TradeDay is solid and unremarkable in the best sense β fair pricing, no alarming rules, nothing to specifically warn you about.
Futures Prop Trading Is Different
Futures prop firms operate under different economics than forex prop firms. The instruments are exchange-listed with published prices and standardised tick values, which makes transparent evaluation easier. The risk models tend to reflect this β trailing drawdown calculated on end-of-day equity is more common in futures than in forex, and it’s more forgiving than intraday trailing drawdown.
Drawdown Models in Futures
End-of-day trailing drawdown is the most common model among futures prop firms. Your trailing stop ratchets up based on your closing balance each day β not your intraday high. This means an intraday spike that you give back before close doesn’t raise your floor. Intraday trailing drawdown, by contrast, moves your floor with every new intraday equity high, which penalises normal intraday volatility and is harder to manage.
Platform Requirements
Most futures prop firms support NinjaTrader and Tradovate β the two dominant retail futures platforms. Some also support Rithmic as a data feed for traders who use third-party order execution tools. Sierra Chart users are a smaller but dedicated group; firm support for it is limited but growing.
Multiple Account Policies
Several futures prop firms allow multiple simultaneous funded accounts β Apex allows up to 20, Topstep up to 5. This is a meaningful structural advantage for systematic traders who want to scale capital through replication rather than account size growth.
